The story
Gusto Toscano was born from an idea of Claudio La Mattina, an entrepreneur in the food sector but above all a passionate and creative cook. In 2017, Claudio turned his attention to an ingredient typical of his hometown Certaldo: the red onion. Captivated by this iconic ingredient, Claudio began experimenting, perfecting unique recipes based on the red onion. This gave rise to the Gusto Toscano label, garnering the interest of Michelin-starred chefs and culinary enthusiasts alike.
However, Gusto Toscano was destined to evolve further. Values such as using natural ingredients, sustainable production practices, and a deep connection to the territory have always been at the heart of Claudio’s vision and were evident from the very beginning of the Gusto Toscano adventure. Yet, he felt compelled to elevate these principles to a higher level. This pursuit led to the creation of Gusto Toscano Life.
Gusto Toscano Life currently offers six specialties: Onion Tears, Caramelized Onions, Onion Bruschetta, Onion Crystals, Onion Vinegar, and Onion Distillate.
We invite you to discover their flavors, experimenting with the endless pairing possibilities with dishes of all kinds.
